11 months

Blogging is very hard for me to do when we are on holiday, this summer is no exception. However, I do want to try and get this post out before Simon is almost 12 months :-) 
We are having a very fun time in the USA and the kids are doing really well with all the different beds, food, people and routine. 


What Simon is doing

• Can walk around furniture and can push things and walk behind them
• He is starting to crawl the "right way" when on carpet but still prefers to scoot on hard wood/tile
• Enjoys playing by himself (and can entertain himself for a long time) but does light up when Joy walks into the room 
• Can say "all done" (aa daa) when he is done eating or wants down or out of something. 
• Can drink out of a sippy cup 

Teeth: 4 teeth

Eats:
Nursing: Nurses 4-5 times a day (he went on a nursing strike for a day....crazy!)
Solid food: Simon loves to eat solid food and would much rather do that than nurse.

• Loves: Everything. I started making his oatmeal in the morning with whole milk and found some greek yogurt with extra fat in it. This month he has finally gained a pound! 
• Verdict is still out on: I can't seem to find stuff that this boy won't eat!
• Introducing this week: Basically he now just eats everything we eat
• Need to try again: 

Sleeps:  He is still sleeping through the night. When we were camping and all in the same room he woke up a few times in the night and then was up for the day REALLY early. Thankfully now that he is back in his own (dark) room he is sleeping from 7:30pm-6 am.

Naps: He is still taking 2 naps. 9-10am and 1:00-2:30. 

Weighs: 17.5 lbs 

 

Likes: loves animals, watching other kids run around, LOVES DOGS, walking while holding your hands, slides , bath time (when he can do big splashes!), eating sand & rocks & sticks & dirt &paper, loves to throw a ball, playing in trash cans (gross!)

Dislikes: only tolerates the swings now, waiting for food, bare feet in sand/grass

Favorite event this month: First time going to the USA & first time camping
